I'm so extremely happy to be here.

Now I have to go around and resubscribe under my shiny new user name. I picked the name keefaq when I first joined lj on a whim, and I've been regretting it ever since, so I've renamed myself.

Shiny new journal, shiny new start! I'm so excited!

I'm kind of interested by how many people don't change their names and I think it's because they are names, not just handles. I identify as Auburn at this point almost as much as I do my birth name.

I'm totally ready too. I have a GoogleDocs opened up and headed, Circle Policy, and it's totally blank. I just finished typing the title yesterday, and my computer went into death spasms. So I have a new computer and there's a bit of a learning curve with it, but I will make my DW account, and that comm I have planned.

I'm actually going to subscribe to people over here! Yes, me, subscribing to people, so I'll do that with my real account.

Sorry about your computer. That sucks. I hate having to run around d/l and transferring stuff and all that work just to get back to where you were before.

No, I'm old. The comm is a secret for now. Nothing too exciting, but I wanted to try modding something.

The transfer of files was fine, the new computer was super cheap, but I decided to go windowless, so I'm running it with Ubuntu as an operating system. (Linux type system - free, free, free)

But, there's a learning curve, I got my email going, and some things working. Other things to come. I don't think I'm going to import my LJ, so I might just work on setting up DW and ignore the other stuff for a while.
