WTF Arkansas

Which foster or adoptive home children are placed in is pretty much up to the discretion of the social worker on the case. Do you really think social workers are choosing gay or unmarried couples over straight married ones? Get real. Gay couples are already discriminated against all the time. The only time a gay couple is usually considered for a child at all is if the child is so severely mentally, emotionally or physically impaired that no other family is willing to take the kid on, and the only other option is an institution. Give me a break, Arkansas Family Council Action Committee, you are so full of shit.
So many shades of wrong
Date: 2008-11-07 04:47 pm (UTC)I don't even live in Arkansas. Hell, I don't even live in the States, and seriously!?! Seriously, it's better to leave 30% of displaces, frightened children in state-run, or, worse yet, Catholic-run facilities than give them to parents who despertly want to love and protect them. Seriously!!!?!!!
What are these people smoking?
OK, and you know what else? Aside from the whole pot calling teh kettle black, on using kids to forward an agenda, as a bisexual person, I must have missed a memo somewhere. We have an agenda? Should I know what it is?
You know those days when you wake up in the morning and the world doesn't seem to make enough sense to make getting out of bed worthwhile?
*shakes head* I'm going to get more coffee. Maybe that will help.
