Reason #4 that I love Supernatural:

Route 666.

Okay, yeah, ghost truck is about as lame a plot as it's possible to get, but this episode made my daughter happy.

She actually screamed in glee when she saw Cassie. Her exact words: "She's black? Oh my god, Mom, he dated a black girl. I'm marrying him."

She also loved that Cassie dumped him. In fact, she was just delighted with the whole thing.

I personally had my typical distaste for the het pairing because it seemed completely random, and I don't mean to underplay the issues Supernatural has with race, but it was nice to see my daughter's pleasure.

You are a super awesome mom (speaking from an I just know you through LJ perspective of course). I wish my mom and I had watched tv together. :)

Poor you. I think my fondest memory of my childhood was helping Mom make the pizza while my brother lined up the large mugs, straws and long spoons for the seven up floats, then everybody getting their special pillows and stretching out on the floor together to watch Star Trek TOS. I had a special pillow to put over my head when Spock was being embarrassing, but my mom and my brother would tell me everything that was going on when I couldn't look.

Maybe you did other things with your mom?

How cute!!!! :)

I was "too much like my father" for mum and I to hang out much. But I think I've turned out mostly okay despite it. :)
