Yes, a thousand times yes! Interacting with people online is tremendously difficult for me (I have rewritten this comment several times, for example), whether it be leaving comments, replying to comments, sending email, or IMing, unless it's with someone I know very well. And posting my writing where I know people will read it is nerve wracking, as well, which definitely limits my ability to participate in fic exchanges and fests, on top of the fear of letting someone down should I fail to complete my assignment.
I think there are probably lots of people who feel this way, but they're all reading this post, thinking "YES, THIS, EXACTLY," and can't quite manage to post a comment.
