Inspired by this:
Thirteen Ways of Looking at Rodney
Based on this other poem by Wallace Stevens:
Anecdote of the Jar
Anecdote of the Laptop
I placed a laptop in Atlantis,
And square it was, upon a chair.
It made the Ancient instruments
Surround that chair.
The instruments encroached on it,
And sprawled around, no longer stilled.
The laptop square upon the chair
And plugged into the console there.
It took dominion everywhere,
The laptop mass-produced.
It gave no quarter to the gene,
Like nothing else in Atlantis.
Gee, I love the way that worked out so perfectly in tune with the theme of the original poem.
