LOL, I'm easily amused, I guess,

I found that loltastic in a fifties kind of way. It reminded me of that Star Trek TOS episode with Gary Seven and the Ditzy Secretary Girl. For some reason Ditzy Secretary Girl was one of a very few female TOS characters that didn't squick me, perhaps because despite the ditz, she turned out to be brave and resourceful. Also, I was only 10 or 11 at the time that aired, so my understanding of women's issues was sketchy.

It was fun to see Crowley again. Heeee!

When Bobby was killing whatever the monster was, I was saying "if only the neighbor lady would come rushing out and help him now" and for a moment I thought that might actually happen. Rats. I would have liked Bobby to have a hunter girlfriend, someone who seemed ordinary but rose to the occasion. Oh well.

I was prepared for this one to have nothing to do with my Sam 'n Dean show, so that part didn't really bother me. I have high hopes they will make it up to me next episode.

Also, ditzy secretary girl was Teri Garr.

I remember that Trek episode :) Though, to be fair, that episode was a kind of pilot for its own spinoff, so it makes sense that Teri Garr would have had more agency in it. I'm fairly sure we won't see Marcy again.

You're right that this is something we haven't seen -- it's occasionally happened with younger women (largely in S1) but not much lately, and we don't see a lot of older women to start with.

I kept thinking that too! It doesn't seem like that hard a concept. If they are going to shove relationships down our throats why not one for Bobby?

And I also really enjoyed the episode because I knew it wasn't going to be centered around Sam and Dean, so I was okay with that.

PS: "I'm flicking my bic for you" That was really...suggestive? Or is it just me? LOL

Also, the ditzy secretary girl was played by Teri Garr, who went on to have quite a record of delivering that kind of role!

Yes, after being all Hermione Granger and providing the facts, I saw that Gianduja beat me to it by days. LOL.
